Inc. magazine provided a list of 7 tips on how to make killer calls but here are my favorites:
- Believe in your value. Rejection is inevitable but with that self-belief comes tenacity, which will see you through the rough patches and remind you why you’re doing what you’re doing.
- Set daily goals to reach out to at least X number of decision makers. Your success has to be measureable.
- Your intro must be “them” focused. In one sentence, what is it about your product that can help them? Now say that as your intro.
- Follow-up. Most salespeople give up after only 2 attempts. Don’t give up. Use a variety of methods to reach out, including snail mail.
