It’s not their little black book of contacts, neither is it their masterful closing techniques, or the CRM software they use.

The secret weapon of all great sales people is their ability to stay positive.

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm. – Winston Churchill

Great sales people are usually the most optimistic people you know.

Optimism is the most important human trait, because it allows us to evolve our ideas, to improve our situation, and to hope for a better tomorrow. – Seth Godin

Sales people deal with rejection on a daily basis, and only when you have a positive mindset can you turn those no’s into a yes.

An objection is not a rejection; it is simply a request for more information. – Bo Bennett

Great sales people believe:

Obstacles can’t stop you. Problems can’t stop you. Most of all, other people can’t stop you. Only you can stop you. – Jeffrey Gitomer

Great sales people are usually the most enthusiastic people you know.

You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars. With it, there is accomplishment. Without it there are only alibis. – Henry Ford

Great sales people  understand, when they feel negative, they won’t find the answers they need to overcome challenges.

Where attention goes energy flows; where intention goes energy flows. – James Redfield

Let me take a wild guess at what you’re thinking…But I’m not a positive person? I’m realistic.  Or something to that effect.

We often believe positive people are naturally positive and some people are just negative.

That’s a myth.

Staying positive or negative takes work. It is actually easier to stay negative than positive because our genetic make up as a species is geared towards survival.

But you can train your mind to focus on positivity. Our brains are after all a massive muscle, and just like any muscle, with a bit of regular repetitive training, you can get it to focus on positive.

What other secret weapons do sales people use? Do you think positive thinking plays a huge part in success, or is it just down to hard work and good luck? Please comment in the box below.

Any questions? Would love to hear from you.
